Vegan French Toasts

Today I decided to challenge myself to make vegan French toasts, and they turned out to be so delicious

Ingredients (2 portions):

1. 2 slices of whole wheat bread slices

2. Half cup soya milk

3. 2 teaspoons of powdered chia seeds

4. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

5. 2 strawberries (for the topping)

6. 2 tablespoons soy yoghurt

7. 2 teaspoons cocoa powder

8. Half teaspoon saffron (for color)

9. Half teaspoon vanilla extract

10. Half banana

11. 1 scoop vegan protein powder


  • Whisk together milk and powdered chia seeds in a bowl and let it activate by placing it in a refrigerator for 20 mins

  • Now, add vanilla, protein powder, cinnamon and saffron and mix well.

  • Dip the bread slices well from both sides in the mix

  • Bake (with baking paper) for about 5 -7 mins in a pre-heated oven at 200 degree Celsius.

  • In the meanwhile, dry roast the banana in a pan

  • When breads are baked, serve them with whipped yoghurt, strawberries, roasted banana and some cocoa powder
